Methodology
This page explains the origin of our data, the distinction between official sources and user content, and our calculation rules. It is written to be readable by people and search systems.
1. Company identity
Identity metadata (name, registry ID, city, sector) come from open registries or official APIs when available. Missing information is never replaced with an invented value.
2. User reviews
Reviews are submitted by WorkSignal contributors, anonymised, checked for PII, and moderated. WorkSignal does not scrape reviews from other platforms.
3. Rating calculation
The overall rating is a Bayesian score derived only from published reviews. Below the minimum review threshold (configurable, default 5), no aggregate rating is shown and no EmployerAggregateRating is emitted.
4. Salaries
Displayed ranges (median, P25, P75) are anonymous WorkSignal aggregates. They are not presented as the specific salary paid by a company. No aggregate is published below the statistical confidentiality threshold.
5. Corrections and reports
Companies can report factual errors. Abusive reviews can be reported and create an audit trail on the moderation side.
